Lumakrome

Photo library and RAW editor for macOS. Built on Apple’s Core Image and Metal, with a workflow inspired by Aperture 3.

Non-destructive editing. Originals are never touched. Every edit is a version you can undo, reset, duplicate or copy to other photos with Lift and Stamp.

Broad RAW support, including Sigma and Hasselblad. Apple’s RAW engine for DNG and most cameras, plus Lumakrome’s own decoders for Sigma Foveon X3F and Hasselblad 3FR/FFF.

Hasselblad colour and crops. Optional Hasselblad (Phocus) colour rendering, XCD lens colour-cast correction, and in-camera crops (65:24, 2:1…) read automatically from the file.

Sigma Foveon tools. Clean Up Dark Skies, Tone Curve, and a Sensor Monochrome mode that builds black and white from the Foveon layers for much lower noise.

Highlight recovery and big exposure lifts. Exposure is applied in the RAW decode, so you keep the detail the sensor recorded, including on night and long exposures.

AI-assisted local adjustments. Select Subject, Background, People or Sky automatically, or draw linear gradients, radial gradients and brush masks. Each mask has its own exposure, colour and detail sliders.

Skin Tones. Finds skin on faces and adjusts hue, saturation, luminance and smoothing without touching wood, sand or hair.

Quick Brushes. Paint Dodge, Burn, Skin Smoothing, Sharpen and more, and brush any adjustment in or away.

Retouch and Red Eye. Repair and clone brushes with automatic source selection for dust spots, plus one-click red-eye fixes.

Automatic lens corrections. Distortion, vignetting and fringing from Adobe profiles (if installed), Lensfun, or profiles you create yourself from calibration shots.

Perspective and Upright. One-click Auto Upright for leaning buildings, Guided lines, and Camera Level on Leica files.

Colour grading and looks. Three-way colour grading, per-colour adjustments, black and white with filter mixes, toning, curves, levels, and Kodak-based film grain (Kodachrome, Ektachrome, Tri-X, T-Max).

Pro sharpening and noise reduction. Deconvolution, unsharp mask and edge sharpening, with hot-pixel removal for long exposures.

Export presets. JPEG, TIFF, PNG and HEIC. Built-in Instagram and Story sizes with mattes, camera-info captions, watermarks and output sharpening.

Full library tools. Projects, albums, smart albums, stacks, ratings, labels, keywords and search. Lightroom-compatible XMP sidecars. Referenced or managed files.
